Event Description:

Join us at the legendary Computer History Museum in Mountain View, CA for OBJECT: ART, an extraordinary, inspiring, and exciting event to benefit the thriving nonprofit organization Art in Action in its mission to bring art to children everywhere
This year's gala will honor Charles Geshke and John Warnock, Adobe Systems Inc. Founders. Adobe System's longstanding commitment to the artistic process through digital media aligns with Art in Action's mission to inspire creativity and empower youth by helping all children receive a visual arts education.
What we'll be doing:
Greet guests, assist with mobile bidding, assist with the live auction and raffle, move and up auction items for pick up, and help with clean up.
What you should know:
What to wear: Please wear black pants/skirts. Volunteers will be provided with a t-shirt to wear.
Parking: There is plenty of parking in the History Computer Museum parking lot. There are lots directly in front of and adjacent to the museum.
Personal Items: Do not leave your personal items in the volunteer room. Bring your items to the check in/out table. They will be stored there. There will always be someone stationed at the table.
Food: A volunteer room with water and various snacks and food will be provided. Volunteers may not have any food or drink provided in the public areas for the guests.
Auction: Volunteers will be provided with a bidding number and are welcome to purchase any auction items or raffle tickets. You will need to leave a credit card on file to pay for anything you win and make arrangements to pick it up from the Art in Action office after the event (if you are only helping at the first shift).
Where to Meet:
Enter through the front of the building and take the stairs to the second floor. Walk through the hallway just past the restrooms at the top of the staircase.
Art in Action:
Art in Action is committed to providing art education to underserved children, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to explore their creativity and develop artistic skills. Today we reach 80,000 students in 623 schools and afterschool programs in 32 states. 50% of those we serve are Title I schools in low-income communities.
